It blew me away. And made me think about a quote from the movie A Beautiful Mind.
"Perhaps it is good to have a beautiful mind,
but an even greater gift is to discover a beautiful heart."
So this year, 2010, my mission is to share "my beautiful heart with the world." That means:
- Volunteering (I truly enjoy community service)
- my big issues and loves are education and animals
- Being more thoughtful with my family (I cherish my family so much)
- e.g. visit more often, don't rush them off the phone when they call during Real Housewives or any other of my 68 favorite reality tv shows, send more random gifts and letters, etc
- Cutting down on making witty/sharp remarks about other people aka judging (Be my super nice self as often as possible)
- Old me: Did a squirrel and glue have a fight in her hair?
- New me: Wow, that halo around her head is int-er-est-ing. Very unique.
- Simply focusing on being a ray of positive light (I have an awesome, infectious smile)
- The opposite of a Debbie Downer

What makes your heart beautiful? Instead of focusing on resolutions (what you can improve about yourself), I want to know what makes you an incredible, fabulous person. Don't be shy!

What makes me "an incredible, fabulous person" is my trusting heart. I have been shown MANY times over the years that I trust much too easily, too quickly, and too completely. I continue to do this even though there is a part of me that knows better. I cannot seem to help it or change it so I have now accepted that this is simply a part of who I am and part of what draws people to me.
Can I just copy you with my resolutions? I'm serious!!!
